Waves and conditions were considerably worse up here. You probably won't get many mahalo's from anyone who stayed up here. There were waves for sure but condition's were a serious let down for most of the day and a lot of people left the beach disappointed. I managed a few real gems later tonight that made up for the overall lack of consistency due to an over abundance of double ups but as things were, they could have been about 75 to 90% better without the stiff NE wind that dominated most of the day.

Am I wrong or are we going to have a nice little suprise tomorrow am? Nothing great, but looking life WSW winds, swell interval at 9+ secs, maybe thigh to waist high? Anyone see something similar?

yeah looks like two and a half feet at 10 seconds for dawn patrol .....so should be rideable but then the high tide will probably kill it ( guess ideal would be to be out there at low tide which is 3:45 am...... ughh not me)

Is this swell coming from what was Gaston?

Anyways, I'm planning to be out there tomorrow for a dawn patrol tomorrow! What's the worst case scenario: a nice cup of coffee and a sunrise........................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...................................... and then waiting on this "potential" Igor swell next week, which damm it damm it just got reduced to "tropical depression Igor" but to quote NHC 17:00 EST discussion

"ALTHOUGH IGOR HAS WEAKENED TODAY...
INTENSIFICATION IS STILL EXPECTED DURING THE FORECAST PERIOD. THE
SHIPS MODEL SHOWS THE SHEAR DECREASING SIGNIFICANTLY DURING THE
NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. "

so keeping my hopes up before I downgrade myself back into a Florida surfing state of depression
