St. Augustine Surfer Kai Barton shares some highlights from his 2022 surf season
Kai Barton is the sort of kid who you can tell was raised well. Affable with an open smile and a gregarious nature, he has a sense of humility that can be hard to find in young surfers of his caliber. Hailing from a surf-centric family growing up in Sandbridge Beach, VA, Barton is a Flagler College graduate with a knack for high performance surfing.
What defines the 22-year-old’s style is the power in his surfing, his impressive hacks and consistent airs. It’s no surprise that Barton has gained the support of several sponsors, including O’Neill, Sun Bum, Otis Eyewear, and Whalebone Surf Shop.
Recently, Barton complied some of his favorite clips from 2022, filmed in OBX, St. Augustine Beach, and Flagler Beach.
