Surf Report comments:

7:15 am: Still some sizable surf for your Monday. The super strong onshore winds have lighted up some as of early morning, so not as blown out. The wave height is 3-4 feet this morning, still mixed up, choppy and lumpy. There are some fully rideable waves with big drops. On our local buoy the early wave height reading is 7.2 feet at 11 seconds, down in size but up in duration from yesterdays 7.5 feet at 6 seconds. . The marine forecast is calling for strong NE winds today. The water temperature is measured at 64.4 degrees at The Pier this morning. See the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

8:00 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and you can see we still have sizable waves for your Monday. It actually looks a little better than at daybreak as it’s not near as messy as it has been. Yesterday was so blown out and the wind has laid down some this morning. Though the wind may pick up a bit later in the morning, it should not blow out like yesterday and is forecast to continue to decrease into midweek. Lots of power with a strong up windswell / groundswell mix on tap as we start the work week….

9:30 am: Dean here with more good news… the onshore wind will continue to relax through the first half of the work week as the ENE ground swell spreads out in period and holds decent size. See my updated forecast for more details…

1:45 pm: Still choppy as we head into mid afternoon. Still plenty of size, but choppy. We will get new photos up before dark….

6:00 pm: New late afternoon photos are up and posted in box #2 and you can see we have continued sizable surf for your Monday late afternoon. Looks like there will be plenty of surf all the way up till dark tonight, with now fairly light onshore winds…
