Wow, has the Surf Station seen the proposed changes for Anastasia Park that includes a proposed lodge with 350 rooms, a pickleball court and disc golf??? This would totally change the natural character of our beautiful state park! The so-called Florida Department of Environmental Protection is trying to sneak this through in the dead of night, here and in other parks across the state — allowing only one week to comment.
This is a really obscene proposal. Surfers should organize and attend the event for public comments: Tuesday, August 27, 3:00-4:00pm at First Coast Technical College, The Character Counts Conference Center, Building C, 2980 Collins Ave., St. Augustine
