7:45 am: Early morning photos are up box #1 and you can see some ENE swell pushing in from the low offshore. It’s still somewhat mixed up but it is cleaning up as the wind is offshore WNW early creating spray off the tops of the early morning waves. The inside high tide session could be quite fun early this morning. The best waves will be before the wind shifts N and the tide backs out too much. Today’s bright sunshine from the clear atmosphere should warm the day up nicely….

11:15 am: It looks like there’s still some swell out there, but the winds have switched strong onshore from early this morning, adding a fair amount of chop. Our local winds are currently blowing out of the NNE @ 12 to 16 knots. The conditions are just fair, with waves in the 2 to 3 foot range with some larger set waves. We have a low tide coming up at 2:13 this afternoon, so we may see that outside sandbar start working more at key spots. There’s definitely some waves to be had if you don’t mind the semi-choppy conditions.

7:05 pm: New evening photos are up box #3 and you can see we have sizable waves for your Saturday evening surf check. Lots of swell with some shoulder high or so waves pushing through! Beatiful weather with still not cold water. And looks like more swell for tomorrow… over and out..
While the Caribbean Sea may continue to be favorable for tropical development in November, Sara will soon die over central America without ever threatening Florida. What will impact our wind, waves and water temps… cold fronts and coastal lows. See what Dean has to say about the weekend’s ground swell, unseasonably cold weather on the way second half of the work week and the potential for more winter-like swells from non-tropical Atlantic storms around the Thanksgiving holidays in The Surf Station Forecast. Here is an overview of a large-scale wind map and the tropical activity map highlighting Invest 99L.
