Quote Of The Day
A bee is never as busy as it seems; it’s just that it can’t buzz any slower.
Yesterday's Quote of the Day
Surfing, alone among sports, generates laughter at its very suggestion, and this is because it turns not a skill into an art, but an inexplicable and useless urge into a vital way of life.
Classic Quote of the Month
The mind ought sometimes to be diverted
that it may return to better thinking

Strong cold fronts have started pushing through Florida the second half of November, scouring out tropical moisture with cool/dry continental air as the 2024 hurricane season draws to a close. These cold fronts and associated coastal lows will determine our wind, waves and winter water temps. After an unseasonably cold weekend dropping surf temps below 70F, the longest (in months) small to eventually flat spell will carry into Thanksgiving Day. Hope for some improvement may come during the holiday weekend as noted in The Surf Station Forecast. Here is an overview of a large-scale, real-time wind map to track the shifting winds associated with the fronts and lows that produce our waves.
