Terry, the Channel Islands sales rep brought by sample DFR and Motorboat Too surfboards for the shop crew to check out. The boards both looked great. The DFR (stands for Dane Freaking Reynolds) is Dane’s newest performance board — Lots of rocker and single concave, though less than the Proton.
The Motorboat Too is a slimmer version of the Motorboat, with more tail and deck rocker — meant to be a go to, user friendly all around board in a variety of conditions.
We should be getting both of these models sometime this month.
The DFR is for a serious high performance surfer if you ask me. I don’t think I could ride it. I liked the Mortorboat Too! Less rocker and seems great for good St. Augustine waves and an old man like me.
I can’t wait for my DFR!
