Surfers for Cetaceans, along with Kiwis Against Seabed Mining (KASM), continue the mission to raise awareness about the dangers of seabed mining and the endangered Popoto Dolphin, of which there are only 55 remaining in the world. The Popoto, or Maui’s, Dolphin is the most endangered cetacean in the world. The remaining few now face the potential threat of seabed mining as the New Zealand government peruses plans to allow mining in their habitat.
