7:05 am: The surf is starting out smaller than expected. Jose groundswells early look only about 1.5 to 2 feet, maybe occasionally a little bit bigger. * Coming on this website: We know some ignored the mandatory evacuation orders and stayed during Irma. Some were on Anastasia Island and got to surf the Hurricane Irma swell on Tuesday as the swell began to clean up. But what about Monday, when it was the biggest and craziest? Did anyone surf? Well, these 3 brothers did, and Surf Station Media was there and captured the paddle out, and dinner (lol) that one brother ate trying to surf an Irma wave that day. Exclusive coverage will be posted, but we want everyone’s internet back on first so all can see!
