A few months ago San Clemente’s Cole Houshmand headed to Indonesia to compete in the Krui Pro. While there, he caught wind that a last second spot had opened up on a boat his friend was guiding in the Mentawai’s. While Houshmand didn’t know the other surfers onboard, he scrambled to make it to the Ment’s, arriving just in time to meet the crew and motor off together straight into a solid swell. Click play for the fruits of Houshmand’s 12-day solo-ish journey. It’s a great reminder to always say “yes,” especially if the question is a boat trip to the world’s dreamiest surf destination.
