This week’s #StokeAHero Channel Islands Happy Winner is Aaron Haire! Aaron is an RN at Flagler Hospital here in St. Augustine and by all accounts, Aaron is a true Healthcare Hero! Aaron was inspired to become a nurse after experiencing the care and professionalism his family received from the staff at Flagler Hospital during the birth of his daughter. Since becoming a Registered Nurse, Aaron’s positive attitude, compassion, and dedication to his patients and to the community have helped save lives and have also positively impacted everyone around him. This includes his coworkers; Aaron has had the most nominations in our contest this far and most of them are from the Nurses and Doctors that Aaron works with day-in and day-out! Not to mention, Aaron is our only nominee that has submitted a nomination FOR a fellow Healthcare Hero!
@AaronsHaire is currently caring for the needs of very sick people, including working in the Red Unit at Flagler Hospital where patients have or are suspected of having COVID 19. Aaron’s friend Daniel wrote, “Even more stress is added to Aaron’s life since he comes home to a wife and three very young daughters. Yet, he doesn’t hesitate. He understands that his career choice carries the importance and dedication to save lives, even if it contains the risk of harming his own.” Although the risks are high, he is determined to continue his work as an RN and help those in need through this pandemic. This Hero definitely deserves some STOKE!
