We left at midnight Tuesday to chase the Laura swell in the panhandle!! It was my first time in the gulf and the experience couldn’t have been better. Somehow we found an empty beach with some really fun waves and surfed past exhaustion. The gulf is really cool because there are so many more points and different geographical features compared to our part in the Atlantic. It was definitely worth the almost 6 hour drive, even with having to be at work the next day!
