The Surf Station Celebrated 37 Years of Business This Labor Day Weekend
Words & Photographs: Cameron Hammer
After years of supporting the St. Augustine community, The Surf Station celebrated their 37th anniversary with a Backyard BBQ.
The 37th anniversary took place in the parking lot of The Surf Station, 1020 Anastasia Blvd. St. Augustine, and ran from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 4, 2021.
Outside of the shop, Tory Strange, the owner of The Surf Station, provided friends, neighbors, and family with fresh pulled pork sandwiches and live music by the 3 Piece Band.
The 3 Piece Band consisted of music played by Jeremy Yetman, Shawn Ryan, Tim Kelley, and Luke Foley.
Ancient City Brewing also supported The Surf Station’s celebration by providing locally brewed craft beer for the community to enjoy.
Live surfboard painting was contributed by Hanah Tremblay, while John West also donated a hand painted surfboard that was raffled off by the end of the month.
Thank you to all who have supported St. Augustine’s local surf shop for the past 37 years.
