Everybody loves watching Bobby Martinez surf, his style is so raw & powerful. He surfs the way he boxes, extremely fast & precise, with a lethal strike that’ll leave your head ringing… Now tracking the man down to film can leave your head ringing as well. He shy’s away from the camera like that of his 805 neighbors, Tom Curren & Dane Reynolds, & hates crowds with a passion. He’d rather surf a lesser known wave then pumping, crowded Rincon. His favorite time to surf the Queen are those stormy/mixed up days or the random swell that sneaks in under the surfline radar… & when the waves are really pumping, he zips up North or down South and surfs with the sharks. There were plenty of those days this winter, & each time we didn’t hear from Bobby we knew exactly what he was up to… standing tall in barrels at locations that cameras are not allowed. We wish we had some of those days in this edit😞but you’ll just have to appreciate this clip for what it is, shot during a handful of sessions near his home while surfing with his close friends.
All the boards Bobby is riding in this edit are prototypes that him and Britt Merrick have been working on…aside from our Twin Fin model.
