The 35th UF Alumni Challenge is Back!

Regretfully, due to the ongoing pandemic, things will be different this year but the gators are back and ready to compete in the UF Alumni Challenge!

What’s different? This year there will NOT be any camping or afterparty/dinner at a separate location. Don’t worry, there will still be stoke after finals. During the contest, everyone other than judges and essential contest business personnel are asked to post up on the beach so we don’t have a congested area. In a nutshell, spread out people. Instead of the dinner and partying bring a small grill and something tasty to put on it, accompanied by a refreshing beverage to enjoy in between stomping on the students or a good friend in the water. After finals, we will all be hanging out on the beach grilling, hanging out, and having a good time announcing the alumni as the winners. We are able to hang on the beach until sunset, as there is no camping here. Bring a table to picnic on and all those essentials. Bring a garbage bag for your trash as well.

Raffles

We will be selling raffle tickets for various items at Marineland and will be drawing winners after the competition.

Competition

The event will be held October 2nd, 2021. Heats start at 9 am so make sure to arrive early (around 8 am) and ready to rip! All UF students are free to enter and compete in this competition. Sign-ups will be done here!

When you arrive at Marineland be sure to check-in and receive your shirt (only if you are competing.)

Note that you are responsible for keeping track of when and what your heat is.

If you have a fever, cough, runny nose, body aches or other sickness symptoms please stay home and get better!

Awards

Throughout our celebration with Alumni, we will be taking photos, pulling raffles, and announcing awards at the end of the competition on the beach.
