Saturday afternoon, the Flagler College surf team gathered on 10th street for tryouts. The waves were very small, however everyone seemed to be excited and prepared for the contest on Sunday. The team has many new additions this year, which is sure to make for an exciting season.
The Flagler College surf team won the first contest of the season on Sunday at New Symrna. Katie Brady got first place for the women, and for the men Dillion Harrington got third place, Stephen Kaltenbach got fourth place, and Dustin Henry got fifth place.
The surf team is looking to have a car wash October 1st from 10-3 at the Surf Station to increase funding, click here for details.
