Florida Board Riders Comes to St. Augustine

This past Sunday, Florida Board Riders competitors gathered at the St. Augustine pier for a day of community and surf, braving the cold temps to compete for the Florida Cup. The conditions improved throughout the day, with the waves starting out with a bit of drift and morning sickness. As the day progressed, the form improved as the winds switched offshore with the waves in the shoulder high range.

Competitors from Fernandina, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, Flagler Beach, Daytona Beach, and St. Augustine fought for the chance to compete in the championship in March. With solid swell on tap, surfers from across the state were able to show off their skills in the water. Ultimately, the Jacksonville Board Riders took the win, with the Daytona Beach club advancing to the championship.
