11 feet @ 15 seconds. That is what the southern Cape Hatteras buoy was recording. Thanks to Winter Storm Diego, we received a super nice, northeast swell. I arrived at the pier to super poor conditions. Winds were strong out of the north, creating choppy conditions. Some people got some good waves, but it wasn’t til sunset when the winds changed to offshore and the surfers really started to shred! Below are the photos I took.
