One word that comes to mind about yesterday is “overload”. A coastal storm developed off the southeast coast of the USA and it evolved into a beast of a storm. As this storm stayed nearly stationary for a day, a long period ground swell formed and pushed south into Florida’s east coast. Yesterday morning had a swell reading on the St. Augustine Beach buoy of 4.8ft @ 14 seconds. This swell maxed out a majority of North Florida’s sandbars. Only a few places were able to survive the strength of the swell in North Florida. I traveled south to Flagler Beach, Florida, which is where I spent my whole day. I shot from 7:30am-3:30pm. The surf was huge. Easy overhead barrels on the inside and well overhead on the outside. Flagler’s sandbars were not able to hold the swell, so most of the barrels that came through, closed out the inside. Below are some of the shots I took yesterday. Enjoy 🙂

Some Empties I shot
Today was fun watching empties. I was at the pier and these lefts were coming through. So beautiful! Here are the shots below…
Looks like the next two weeks will be calm. I am exhausted after five straight days of shooting and i shot about 20 hours this week. Nice to have a little break…
