Ian is an interesting character.
From the outside, he might come across as this Big wave dare devil/ maniac , living by the seat of his pants, but in reality he is a very organized and calculated guy.
Most of the modern big wave guys are… in at least the sense of tracking storms and planning their mission of attack. In addition to all that Ian is an astute business and mktg guy. He runs his Ian Walsh “brand” in a methodical manner that is almost as impressive as his surfing exploits. He rips pretty darn hard in typical surf as well and thats what most of the boards we make for him are for.
