All surfers appreciate a big backside bottom turn on a huge wave like this, but if you are from St. Augustine, and are into our surf culture and our history you may see something more in this photo🌞
Why? Well this is the photo that the 1st surf shop in St. Augustine (Sun N Surf Shop) used as the basis for their original Sun n Surf Shop logo. (see #sunnsurf for the artist actual logo) The photo was taken by @artbrewer and is of Sammy Hawk at “The Banzai Pipeline.” It was first published in Surfer Magazine in 1971👌
