My brother Orion is 15, and today was his first day of work at the Surf Station. Of course, before he works his way onto the floor he is proving his worth. Starting in the trenches you might say. Same way I did back at almost his exact age. How time flies.
Today he went through every rental suit we have (probably about 50) cleaned off all the sand, turned right side out, and properly resized. We then took inventory of all our rental boards and neatly rearranged, and finally he swept, tidied, and was on his way. What a jammer. It was his first ever two hours of employment, and I’m glad I could help show him the ropes.
This was his introduction into the shop, and I’d say he did pretty well. He’s amped to come back and jam again. Though I must say, he might be careful what he wishes for. That back room reorganization is a daunting task, and I’m sure a job he’ll be taking on sometime soon!
Go Orion!!! Your first day at work at Surf Station! The family tradition continues!
Many thanks to you Tory for keeping the tradition going. I’m glad to see he’s working hard, keep him busy!
