JJF, His Brother Ivan Florence and Jack Robinson Ride a Few Waimea Bombs on Rhino Chasers
There are few surf spots in the world that can handle the size when the buoy readings get over 20′ of deep water swell. John mentions in the video that it was 23′ @ 16s and the swell is peaking as they are suiting up to paddle out. Watching a few of those drops it looks like they are just going to get pitched over the falls, and then somehow they hang on by their tip toes and make the drop. Super impressive performance for the crew! Now, let’s hope that the north Pacific continues to pump and maybe we’ll get a call for the Eddie Aikau Memorial contest one of these weeks soon.
