To me some of the best rides at Pipe I have seen over the years start off with a chip shot drop in from 2nd reef, which gives the rider a chance to setup from deep with speed and get barreled as the wave unloads onto the 1st reef section. Atlantic Beach, Florida local and World Longboard Champion Justin Quintal gets barreled at pipeline twice and spit out into the channel. Definitely one of the best rides of 2023 at pipeline. If wave of the winter was still around, this ride would be up there!
