A few months ago I approached Tory about putting some content on the site for an upcoming trip my wife and I are taking to New Zealand for 2 weeks. He reminded me of the travel blog Rachel B. did when she went to South Africa (if you haven’t seen it, I have big shoes to fill. Check out her posts below in the travels section https://www.surf-station.com/category/stationmedia/surfclips/travels/ ) . Starting at the end of May, my goal is to bring you a little taste of the culture and, of course, waves we will encounter along the way. We will be armed with an RV, still cameras and possibly a Go Pro. In the meantime, I am going to try and document a little bit of planning leading up to the trip. Stay tuned for more in a few weeks.
Here’s a few things we’ve encountered so far:
Yea Timmay, very stoked for you. You will have a blast!
Thanks Rachel!

That kiwi looks like an armadillo that rolled in Rogaine.
Let us know if you find…bah, bah, baaahhhh…THE ONE RING.
Haha! That may be the best picture caption ive ever heard.
Heck Yes!!! i’ve been a few times, you HAVE to go to Rotorua and do the luge and zorbing. craters of the moon is a sick spot too. as far as surf: taranaki and raglan are where i scored the best. Gisbourne is sick too
Dylan you are making my day. All of these spots are on the itinerary!!!
