Hello Surf Station community,
I am asking, as this barge incident directly impacted our surf community and Poles surfers without public notification, for you to send this out this link above to a petition and press release on your shop social media and local network for signatures. This spill exposed our surf community, including perhaps your employees and you, my family, friends, community, and me as we surfed unknowingly in PR’s illegal coal ash.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Petition signatures will be hand delivered to Mayor Curry by Surfrider, Sierra Club and St. John’s Riverkeeper. This is a local human health, surf and water quality issue we hope to prevent from happening again with your help.
I’m hoping for a local strong voice from our surf community our Mayors in NE Florida can’t ignore.
