The O’Neill Team Scores in Latest Strike Mission
O’Neill Strike Missions is a film series documenting the team’s surf adventures across the globe. It’s all about tracking swell and striking when the time is right, hoping the gamble pays off and the risk is worth the reward. In the end, the journey is often as memorable as the destination. In Episode 6, we follow Cory Lopez, Eli Olson, and Noah Wegrich south of the border as they track down a southern-hemisphere swell to a region filled with a variety of sand-bottom, rifling right-hand points.
One of the most adventurous Strikes to date, the team travels deep into the heart of mainland Mexico. After touching down in Oaxaca with the afternoon sun blazing overhead and hot on the heels of a proper southwest swell. Cory Lopez, Eli Olson and Noah Wegrich were stoked to score some amazing waves during one of the best pulses of the season, all while field-testing the new Spring boardshorts and TRVLR gear. With long days of 5-hour sessions and near-perfect right handers, this trip was one for the record books!
