8:00 am: Early morning photos are up box #1 and you can see we have mushy small scale southerly angled waves for your Wednesday morning. Not terrible, as it does look ridable with some some lower knee high rollers on the middle sandbar that zip over on the far inside sandbar. Different surf spots will have the waves break quite differently, but that’s what I am seeing here around the 3rd Street area. Big changes ahead with our weather (it will be about 30 degrees colder tomorrow is what the weatherman says) and with these weather changes we will see what it does to our surf along the beach, stay tuned…. ..

2:00 pm: New early afternoon photos are up box #2 and you can see the waves look at little better, as we have some clean waves at report time. The wind has swung more offshore. Ya gotta wait on the sets as in between the waves look real small, like less than a foot. But when the set waves come in, there ore some fun clean little waves. No one on it accept one kayaker on the N side of the pier, when the photos were taken….

While conditions in the Caribbean Sea continue to be favorable for tropical development in November, Sara has died over central America, and latest modeling suggests that is the last storm of the impactful 2024 hurricane season. So now we look ahead for cold fronts and coastal lows that will influence on or our wind, waves and water temps. Dean has extended the forecast to take us past the unseasonably cold (January-like!) weather this week that will drop surf temps and the longest (in several months) small to flat spell leading up to Thanksgiving Day. There is hope for improvement over the holidays in The Surf Station Forecast. Here is an overview of a large-scale, real-time wind map to track the shifting winds associated with the fronts and lows that produce our waves.
