I’m a local surfer and surf photographer in Vilano Beach and wanted to bring up an issue that concerned me. The Surf Station instagram recently ran a photo of porpoise point, not being stoked on posting about a small spot I simply commented “not cool” just expressing my opinion.
In response to that I got blocked by the surf station instagram, a move that I believe is a little out of line. Especially beings as I’ve given station content for free in the past, recently a video titled “Saturday Is For The Logs”. Two good friends who ride for station are in that video and I have other friends on your team that I like to work with in creating photos, so I’d like to be on good terms with the station, but the way the thesurfstation responded to my comment on instagram wasn’t professional. I think there was a better way to handle my comment rather than to just block an opinion you don’t agree with. This is just something I wanted to bring to your attention.
