This year’s Tampa Pro kicked off with professional skateboarders excited and ready to skate with their friends and peers from around the world.
After being rescheduled early March, 2021, due to the pandemic, the 27th annual Tampa Pro was held Oct. 15 to Oct. 17, 2021, at the Skatepark of Tampa, 4215 E. Columbus Dr. Tampa.
This year Shane O’Neill won first place in the finals, with Kelvin Hoefler placing second, and Jagger Eaton placing third.
Jamie Foy also won first place in the Independent Best Trick contest, by completing a front blunt to nose blunt on a long round kink rail.
This Florida event is known for creating such a positive environment that even skateboarders that do not typically compete in contests end up participating in this one.
Skateboarders, who are mainly known for their street parts, that attended the Tampa Pro this year were Tyson Peterson, Jake Wooten, TJ Rogers, and more.
Some of the past winners of the Tampa Pro consist of Mike Valley in 1995, Eric Koston in 1996, 2002, and 2007, and Andrew Reynolds in 1997 and 1998.
Not only does the Tampa Pro provide a place for professionals to come together, but it also allows skateboarders, fans, friends, and families to support and meet their favorite professional skateboarders.
Whether you’re attending the Tampa Pro as a professional skateboarder, a fan, or someone that is just looking to have a good time, the Tampa Pro guarantees great memories for all of those who attend.
