7:30 am: The wind stayed onshore again overnight but with lighter winds. Wave size this morning is 2-3 feet, occasionally a little larger. The wind is very light onshore E @ 5-6 knots. We have fair slowly improving. On our local buoy the early morning reading is 4.9 feet at between 14 and 15 seconds. You can watch the waves firsthand on our live surf cam page.

8:05 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and you can see we have sizable waves for your Saturday. I upped the size from 2-3 to 3-4 feet since the earlier report as there is some strong swell! Some times it takes the sun to come up for it to show. Some easily shoulder high waves. Sort of lumpy and not super clean, but overall not bad form, as the form continues to improve. If the wind stays light, and it is forecast to do to so, it could / should be a super good surf day

11:15 am: The wind is onshore but fairly light. Not super clean but not messy either. Some largish outside set waves pushing through that look quite fun….

12:30 pm: Your midday report is coming from Flagler Beach, hosting the Tommy Tant contest this weekend. The waves are in the 3 to 4 foot range, with surprisingly clean conditions. Our local winds are blowing out of the NNE @ 5 knots, making for some cleaner conditions than early this morning. There are some solid waves out there mostly in the chest high range, with some occasional head high sets. If you can get out there, the waves should start opening up more with the dropping tide. Get out while you can!

5:00 pm: It’s not quite as clean as it was earlier today, but there’s still some size out there for your evening report. Our local winds have bumped up to 10 knots out of the NNE, adding a bit more surface texture. We have a high tide coming up at 8:30 tonight, so it’s breaking a little softer at report time. While the conditions have deteriorated just a bit from earlier, there’s still swell if you want to get out before sunset.

11:00 pm: Some more photos from the 22nd Annual Tommy Tant Surf Classic are up and posted in box #3 and you can see some really good waves for the event. The finals are Sunday in Flagler Beach

The week-long onshore flow combined with TS Tammy’s lingering ground swell produced sizeable surf for the Tommy Tant Memorial in Flagler Beach with wind lighter for the contest!. Dean’s Surf Forecast carries through the contest into Halloween (trick or treat?) and will be detailing the next sizeable swell building through the second half of the work week.
