7:25 am: The surf has dropped overnight. But the big news is the wind is finally offshore! The surface conditions are semi-glassy to glassy. Wave size @ 1 to occasionally up to 2 feet. The wind is light from the WNW @ 4-6 knots. On our local buoy the early morning reading is 3.0 feet at 8 seconds down from yesterdays 4.3 feet at 11 seconds. You can watch the waves firsthand on our live surf cam page.

8:15 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and you can see the wind is offshore! Finally a glassy morning. Smaller surf, but not too small, with some waist high to slightly over waist high waves once in a while, as you can see in the photos. Smaller surf, but we may get a push wit the incoming ttde….

7:00 pm: New evening photos are up and posted in box #3 and you can see we still have some occasional fun waves as we get closer to dark. Onshore winds so somewhat choppy but the waves jack up on the inside at times with some fun lefts and rights. Still waves, and looks like some waves will still be left in the morning…. over and out….

The week-long onshore flow combined with TS Tammy’s lingering ground swell produced sizeable surf for the Tommy Tant Memorial in Flagler Beach with wind lighter for the contest!. Dean’s Surf Forecast carries through the contest into Halloween (trick or treat?) and will be detailing the next sizeable swell building through the second half of the work week.
