Surf Report comments:

7:25 am: Wave height this morning is in the waist to rib high range or so. Very choppy and mixed up out there with the strong SE winds, looking at it early this morning. The winds is SE @ 21 knots. On the local buoy the early morning wave height reading is 10.5 feet at 10 seconds, up from yesterdays 7.2 feet at 7 seconds. The marine forecast is calling for strong S/SW winds today. The water temperature is measured at 64 degrees at The Pier this morning. View The Surf Station Cam Page here.

11:55 am: New late morning photos are up and posted in box #2 and what a difference from this morning. Super large surf and the wind is slowly clocking offshore. Some head high to well overhead waves with big sprays off the top of the waves as the ocean begins to clean up. Some waves 5 feet with larger set waves as the wind continues to clock offshore. Expect cleaning up conditions as the tide drops and the wind begins to groom the swell….

7:45 pm: Evening note: New afternoon photos are up and posted in box #3 taken just after 1 pm with very sizable waves for your Sunday afternoon. Some Super Wide Open Tubes! The inside was thumping and was breaking outside even at the higher tide. How was the surf after these photos were taken? Here is the 3:30 pm surf report by the grom surf reporter. We didn’t get evening update at dark but we will be back super early for an update then. See ya in the morning.. over and out…
