7:55 am: Sorry the late report – our comcast/xfinity internet was down! Just got it back up. The waves have dropped a little overnight; but the good news is it’s much cleaner. This is due to the wind shifting offshore. The waves size is 1.5 to 2 feet with occasional larger set waves. We have semi-glassy surface conditions, with the wind west @ 5-7 knots. On the local buoy the early morning wave height reading is 3.6 feet at 8 seconds down in size from yestertfays 5.9 feet at 8 seconds. The marine forecast is calling for light west winds today. The water temperature is measured at 61 degrees at The Pier this morning. View The Surf Station Cam Page here.

8:45 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and you can see we have glassy surface conditions with the offshore wind. Some clean lines with surfers enjoying some good rides. Waves thigh to rib high or so on some sets. Sort of fat the higher tide so many waves are backing off, but the good news is not near as many duck dives to get back out as the swell spreads out
