Surf Report comments:

7:20 am: The waves have dropped more overnight. It’s clean, with the waves size 1 to to occasionally up to 2 feet. The surface conditions are glassy near shore , with the wind west to WNW @ 4-6 knots. On the local buoy the early morning wave height reading is 2.0 feet at 10 seconds , down from yesterdays 3.6 feet at 8 seconds. The marine forecast is calling for light southwest winds today, ramping up tomorrow as colder air moves in. The water temperature is measured at 60 degrees at The Pier this morning. 8:10 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and wow o wow has it dropped. It was an overall at 1-2 feet with the dawn patrol first look (I swear I saw some set waves then) because now it looks even smaller than at daybreak. Looks more like knee high, and that is on sets, for the most part. That larger thigh high wave is way fewer and farther between than at the crack of dawn. Overall dropping fading surf…..

1:15 pm: New afternoon photos are up and posted in box #2 and you can see how small it is now. Clean and glassy, but smaller now. The wind is offshore keeping clean, but not helping..and in fact likely contributing to it getting smaller. Cloudy at the beach, and cool. Good little longboard waves though, with some lines that peel at times… ..
