Early morning weather comments from the Surf Station weather page:
6:45 am: A chilly start to the day but temperatures will rebound and warm up the day. Plenty of sunshines today with rain tomorrow

7:25 am: The surf has dropped some more overnight. Smaller surf than yesterday on this Saturday. Wave size down to 1 to occasionally 1.5 feet. Cool at the beach again this morning. Offshore WNW winds allowing for glassy surface conditions early. Our local buoy the early wave height reading is 2.3 feet at 13 seconds down from yesterdays 3.3 feet at 12 seconds. The marine forecast is calling for the early morning offshore winds to shift NE at some point later today or tomorrow. The water temperature is measured at 57.9 degrees at The Pier this morning. 8:10 am: Early morning photos taken before, during, and after sunrise are up box #1 and you can see we have smaller waves than yesterday. Small overall with waves knee high to maybe thigh high & glassy early this morning. Yesterday, after the tide bottomed out, turned, and started pushing in, we got a push with the incoming tide. Will it happen again today? Low tide is about now, so we will see...

5:00 pm: Our 3rd report of the day is from The Pier where some glassy clean lines were rolling in early afternoon. New photos from then are in box #3 and you can see it’s breaking both left and right with some lefts coming in off the south side of the pier and some rights on the north side, pushing in toward the Pier. Some skimboarders loving the clean surf too.
This may do it until tomorrow… let’s hope the swell holds…. over and out...
