7:15 am: The waves are a little smaller than yesterday. Still surf @ 2 to occasionally up to 3 feet. The wind is near calm or light offshore at less than 5 knots early. The marine forecast calls for the wind to be offshore NW today. Our local buoy the early morning wave height reading is 3.3 feet at 11 seconds down in size from yesterday 3.9 feet @ 9 seconds. The water temperature is measured at 84 degrees offshore again this morning, it may be cooler along the beach . You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

8:00 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and you can see it’s glassy this morning with waves waist to occasionally up to chest high or so. It’s peaky, with a line to the wave as you can see in the photos. The tide is pushing in all morning. Will we get a push with the tide? Or will the downward trend on the buoy see a non-push with the tide? Let’s hope for the former, we will see….

12:45 pm: The waves are still looking super fun at report time, with glassy conditions holding midday. Our local winds are very light onshore, blowing out of the NW @ 5 knots. The waves look like they may have dropped a little bit since early this morning, with those 3 foot sets being fewer and farther in between than they were earlier. We just had a high tide pass at 11:30 this morning so that may be part of the reason why the waves are breaking a little smaller and weaker at report time with so much water right after the high tide. Overall, it’s still looking fun and appears to be on the decrease so I would say to get on it before it bottoms out too much.

6:35 pm: Evening Note: Looking smaller and choppier as we go into Saturday evening. Not near as good as it has been. Oh well. Hey but it’s not flat.. and there is hope for tomorrow.. over and out..
