7:20 am: Early morning photos are up box #1 and you can see we have sizable waves for your Tuesday. Onshore winds with waves easily waist to chest high. Some larger set waves in the shoulder high range at times. Choppy but not too choppy with the onshsore winds…
.
Left up from yesterday:
1:30 pm: New photos are up box #2 with the first 4 taken mid morning when it was choppier and not near as big. All the rest of the photos in the slideshow are from early afternoon and wow o wow has the surf improved! It’s much larger now. Some overhead set waves for sure. Lots of surfer having a hard time getting out so eat your wheaties before you go!
.
7:00 pm: Evening Note: So the data report from earlier, including the surf factor may be a slight overcall as the weather and waves became stormier after the early afternoon update. We didn’t downgrade the report but just go with this note as it was not as good for a while and looked somewhat mixed up at dark. Overall fun surf but not too much to get hyped about.. except some of the sizable waves!
And on that note.. owe will call it a night and see what it looks like early in the morning… over and out..

Tropical Storm Raphael is quickly strengthening in the Caribbean Sea just south of Cuba on Election Day, forecast to become a hurricane before landfall in Cuba. Raphael’s east-loaded circulation will enter the Gulf of Mexico mid-week. See what Dean has to say about the impact on our wind and waves in The Surf Station Forecast. Here is an overview of a large-scale wind map and the tropical activity outlook map for the Atlantic basin.
