The St. Augustine Aquarium and Botanical Gardens is scheduled begin construction in June 2014. The aquarium is going to be located at the end of Riberia Street in the Lincolnville community. All in all, the aquarium will be a a 250,000 gallon, 43,000-square-foot facility, featuring Sand Tigers, Bonnethead and Blacknose sharks, as well as an wide variety of fish, eels, and ray’s. The founders, Shawn & Kathy Hiester, have launched a campaign through Rockethub to come up with the additional funds necessary to get the aquarium up and running.
