This past weekend more than 100 top female pro surfers came to Jacksonville, Florida to compete in the Super Girl Surf Pro contest. The competition began on the 10th of November and was completed on the 12th. Due to small surf, the contest started slow, but received a healthy bump Saturday night when a cold front passed through Northeast Florida. When the surfers entered the water on Sunday, the waves were waste to chest high and continued to climb up over the horizon. The bigger waves allowed surfers like Eweleiula Wong, Nora Liotta, and Keala Tomoda-Bannert to demonstrate their skills. In the end, Keala took first and a prize of $8K, Nora 2nd and $4K, and Eweleiula 3rd and $2K.
