In this episode, Noel Salas reviews the Pyzel “White Tiger” Surfboard. TJ from Pyzel shares a bit about the Pyzel Ghost family of surfboards and compares the White Tiger, the Gremlin and the Phantom.
The White Tiger has a flatter deck, a little less rocker on the nose and tail versus the Gremlin. Noel says it has more down the line speed than the Gremlin and allows you to get past flat sections. It’s got a fuller rail but is a bit tapered. The bottom contours vary the most out of the Ghost family of surfboards. The Gremlin has a squash tail, more rocker and most like it for more high-performance surfing.
Both TJ and Noel like riding it with a quad set up, but it can also pack a punch when the waves get shoulder high with a thruster set up. Noel then takes the 5’3 26.2 L to the pool and rides it with Asa. They are both stoked on the amazing rail-to-rail transitions where they ride it as a Twin plus Trailer. Overall, this board is great for 1- to 3-foot mushy waves and those with a little extra texture.
Noel finishes by comparing the White Tiger, the Gremlin and the Astro Pop Surfboards and explains the difference between a squash tail and a swallow tail.
