Is the new Gopro 9 black worth upgrading to? This week on WorkforAvocados, I try out the new action cam on a fun small swell that we had the past week. There are some things that I really like about this camera and other things that can be really annoying.
First of all, the camera boasts 5k resolution. To the visual eye, this increase from 4k really doesn’t add much on the surface level. Where this feature really means is that you can now crop (zoom) in on your video more and not lose as much resolution. This is super helpful if you’re going to be filming your friends and you’re a little bit farther away than you’d like to be.
The battery life is now 30% longer but it’s also a completely different size than any of your old batteries. Unfortunately, this means that none of them will work with this camera. On the flip side though, the extra battery life means you can surf longer and not have to get out of the water to change your batteries as often.
This really does shoot some beautiful video and photos. Somehow it’s improved on the already mind blowing hypersmooth technology originally brought in by the Hero 7 black. You can shake this thing like crazy and it’s still going to give you a nice smooth shot.
If you enjoy making edits or using your camera as a film making device, this is is definitely a step up from the previous models. Check out the video to get the full break down and don’t forget to like and subscribe!!
Fingers crossed for swell this weekend!
