El Porto in Manhattan Beach Big and Barreling??
Southern California has been on a roll lately with waves and clean conditions, and local Los Angeles surf photographer Brad Jacobson has been on the scene capturing some of the action. El Porto is a unique spot in that it funnels WNW swell energy between the Channel Islands and Malibu. Check out the El Porto Surfline Cam for a live look at detailed forecast. The only issue can be paddling out when it’s solid, because there is no channel and consistent ground swell lines leave little time for sneaking out in between sets! Manhattan Beach Pier is just to the south and can be a bit more manageable when the surf is pumping like this.
