The first World Tour event of the year finished off in marginal surf at Snapper Rocks. Slater went down in the quarterfinals to Josh Kerr, who failed to beat Adriano in the semis. Taj was down early in the final to Adriano but managed to put up a mid range 9 to take the heat. Hopefully Taj can build on this momentum for his first ever World Title!
