Lately, I’ve been slacking on making any progress on my 75 Harley FLH. It kills me to look at parts strewn across my garage and to think, if I had more time, more money, I could have this done. But it’s not about getting it done. It’s really about the process. Today was part of the process.
Terry and I headed out to Palatka this morning for the monthly swap meet. I had no expectations in mind and ended up with some really cool parts and more inspiration for my bike. But it goes beyond the parts and inspiration. It’s the experience of sharing stories along the ride, digging through bins for something unique, and then bartering for that piece of history you just found. I feel lucky to have a friend like Terry and I’m looking forward to the process of piecing together my bike. I have a feeling that once I do get my bike done, it’s going to be the experience that I yearn for.
