Noah and I had the most amazing time in California.
My mom took us on the Surfliner train down the coast to San Diego and the lady we rented the condo from picked us up at the train station and dropped us off at the San Diego Zoo, which had every animal that lives on Planet Earth. I know why it’s known as the best zoo in the country. Noah ripped his wetsuit not once, but twice and lucky for Noah, San Clemente is where the Wetsuit Witch lives. She was sooooo funny and nice and knows how to repair a wetsuit quickly. (She loves FL boys!)
Now for the most exciting part, my conetst update: I won a national title! JK (just kidding) I was knocked out early on. There’s some really good surfers and the competition was tough. I was lucky enough to hook up with Alex Espir who gave me some great coaching. I learned more in that month with him than I did in the past years. We were so excited that Chase Stevens came to visit until we found out he also came with the flu and had to go home after four days. He did get to surf Lowers and eat at In and Out Burger, so he left happy.
We ended our trip with a visit to Sky High, an awesome trampoline place with foam pits, dodge ball and trampolines on the walls. The best thing about going home was I got to sit next to a really hot girl on the plane from Melboure Beach. Noah, not so lucky, but the grandma he sat next to did write my parents a note about how his ears bother him on the plane and how charming and cute he was. Mom was happy to sit by herself and read her magazines 🙂
Check out our photos from the water photographer on a small day at Salt Creek! I’m off to Jamaica with Zoe and Chelsea on the 18th in search of waves at Billy Mystic’s surf camp so I’m sure I’ll have some fun posts from there too so check out Chelsea Greaham’s blog soon.
