Not only do we carry just about any board you could want under your feet, our team of surfboard experts can help create something one-of-a-kind through an order for a custom surfboard.
Ordering a custom through the Surf Station
If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for on the rack, then our team can either set you up with a local shaper to build the perfect board for you, or we can order a custom direct from the biggest labels in the world. In fact, most major labels will prioritize custom boards orders from local surf shops over individual custom orders. So what does that mean? Less time waiting and more time shredding for you.
Designing your perfect custom surfboard
While our team can help pair you with the perfect shaper to meet your needs, we can also offer advice to dial in the dimensions of your new custom stick. Any slight change in one design aspect of a board can tweak how another component will perform, and our experts can help to create a board with a design that blends these components together seamlessly.
Recreating a magic board
If you’ve had enough boards under your feet throughout your surfing career, you’ve probably come across that one “magic” board. From the first wave, it all just feels right. It’s a board that feels attached to your feet, that makes all other shapes pale in comparison. If you’ve found a board like this, then it’s also likely seen some heavy wear and tear. Recreating a magic stick can be difficult, but made much easier with the help of your local surf shop. With just a serial number of a board, our team can find the dimensions of a shape from most of the major labels that we carry, including Channel Islands, …Lost, T. Patterson, JS, Pyzel, and more.
How to order your next custom
The steps to ordering your next custom surfboard are simple. First thing is first, dialing in the design of your new board. Our team of surfboard experts can help peg down these details exactly, which is the most important part of the custom ordering process. Once a board is ordered, there is a very small window of time (about 6 hours) to make any changes to that order. You’ll submit these details using one of our custom surfboard order forms which can be found here. From this point, your order will be finalized and next comes the hardest part…waiting for your new board to be built and ready to surf!
