Saturday night was one of the biggest local skate events we’ve seen in recent times here in St. Augustine. Skaters of all ages and backgrounds gathered at Treaty Skatepark to celebrate rad tricks and local music.
All Thanks to Heshrat Zine for making it all happen! check them out for future local events & their awesome DIY Skate Zine!
This is the 3rd appearance of the Jump Ramp at Treaty park. True to it’s 1980’s roots, this thing has serious kick. As you can see the local talent getting quite comfortable.
A skater goes for a timeless Indy Grab Ethan Arnold (@abrasionclothingco) with a handsy Front shuv-it
Skyler Riddling (@sky.ridd) put the kicker to work with multiple approaches, hardhat and all
Elan Morris (@elan_owen) with a 360 ollie and probably the highest air of the night
Another young skater flying high
doin’ the stanky leg, both ways.
This late 360 shove it was insane! shoutout to this ripper.
Mixin’ it up on the box
oh’ the good times were a rollin’ (so were the boards)
A few Vendors set up Pop-up shops at the event, including local skate company on the rise
Abrasion Clothing Co. Showcasing their newest Graphics and brand new Abrasion brand skate decks
Evan Price & friends tearing the 7ft to shreds before the bowl jam
they set up the Heshrat Box as an extension on the bowl.. gnarly
Sam Sayward (@slippery_samm) carving it up Evan Price with a disaster Tail Stall on the Extension
Evan showed the bowl no mercy, landing multiple tricks that had the crowd going CRAZY
Squirrel of SCUM kills it on the mic and in the pool
This guy came outta nowhere with a sick handplant 360 Sam Sayward again, Texbook rock n’ roll
Surf Station’s own Chase Stevens grabbing the mic to inspire the people
Even Price took best trick in the bowl with multiple maneuvers that would have earned him the top spot! pictured is local legend Bodie presenting Evan with a new skate deck.
Local Punk Bands Were keeping the energy high! The Body Snatchers are always a treat to watch.
And of course, No skate jam would be complete without a good ol’ fashioned product toss to wrap it all up. Thanks to all who came out an participated! the local scene is alive and growing! These events keep getting better and better and I can’t wait for the next one!
