Hello true believers! (bonus points to who gets that reference..)
We are back again this week with Gabe Kling, star lifelong SS team rider, ex-WCT warrior, current father, husband and real estate broker(congrats!) extraordinaire. Since last year’s re-release , Gabe’s bread and butter shortboard for most of Florida’s conditions has been the OG Flyer. I have seen him rip overhead northside peaks at low tide on this board and also shred doubled up Vilano wedges to pieces. As many of us know the model is incredibly well-rounded and versatile.

Words directly from Gabe himself:
“Great all around board. The poly OG Flyer I have now holds in really well and is fast, it’s a little smaller (1” shorter) than my normal shortboard(Fever/ Happy) and fractionally wider. I use it when the waves are chest high +. When there’s good waves I have trouble picking between this one and the Fever, both work great but I think the Flyer may be better through flat spots and weird sections. I have used it in all conditions and if you are looking for good all around shortboard this could be it. I tried one in spine tek that works amazing in mushy conditions too, adds a little extra excitement.”
